Operations coordinator (China)


Bellroy is a fast-growing global brand, with warehouses, stockists and customers all over the world. We launched in Australia with a range of six wallets 10 years ago and now sell into 140+ countries, releasing about 30 new products a year (give or take). We’re growing within China and are now looking for a business savvy, Mandarin speaking, Operations Coordinator to help support this growth. Working closely with our China - Development Project Manager you will be responsible for Digital Content Coordination, Account Management (particularly regarding Social Media), Relationship Management and Inventory Coordination.

You’ll work closely with our crew in Melbourne to coordinate the local operations, streamline our processes and make sure we have the right products available at the right time. You’ll love to solve problems and be confident in supply chain and logistics. If you bring your sharp, organised mind, spreadsheet skills and detail-oriented eye, we will give you the right mix of freedom and support to grow your ecommerce business knowledge and the support you need to flourish.


  • Assisted with new product releases on Bellroy’s Tmall & JD store
  • Analysed weekly sales performance & provided insights and business analysis of the market
  • Managed our stock logistics and inventory management with our demand planning team and local operations and warehousing teams
  • Audited our digital content and assets to make sure everything was in order
  • Communicated with our Ops agency WPIC (Nanjing-based) as issues arise
  • Checked in comments and engagement on our social media accounts, Weibo, WeChat and Little Red Book


  • Are experienced (approximately 3 years) in Chinese marketplace operations/coordination and are confident in guiding both agents and stakeholders
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English and want to work with an international team who rely on your local expertise
  • Might have a degree in business, supply chain, logistics or similar
  • Have an interest in eCommerce business’ and how they operate
  • Love to solve problems, streamline processes and structure workflows, for you its all about the logistics
  • Have an eye for detail, keeping yourself and others organised

This is a full-time remote role based in China. We’ve got a distributed workforce, with a growing crew who call China home, you’ll also work closely with our HQ in Melbourne, Australia. We ask that our remote people are available to overlap Melbourne office hours a few hours a day.

It’s where our Product Designers experiment in the Maker Lab, and our Sales team consume awesome amounts of espresso and Skype bandwidth. Things are more tranquil here than our Fitzroy neighbours and we like the focus that can create. There’s a cafe right next door if you need a quick bite and our 11am surf check always provides the perfect chance to reset the mind with some salt air.


Our Fitzroy space is immersed in the middle of Melbourne’s creative hub. It’s where our Creative, Marketing, Engineering and Operations teams develop campaigns and ensure each Bellroy is sent safely across the world. Walk out the door and you’ll find streets bursting with energy (and the best ramen joint this side of Tokyo). There’s also an olympic-size pool just around the corner for those in need of a lunchtime refresh.


Outside of our two main headquarters we have a team that works remotely - from Western Australia to parts of Asia, the USA and Europe. Being global is at the heart of Bellroy, it keeps us connected, and makes sure we see life from many different perspectives.
