Social Media Manager


We’re on the hunt for a Social Media Manager to guide our social channels, engage our communities and elevate our brand to new heights and different corners. Bellroy is a for-purpose brand that exists to inspire better ways to carry, use business as a force for good and help the world flourish. Spreading our rich, vibrant stories as far, wide and round-the-corners as possible is crucial to delivering on those promises.


Ideas fountain. Strategic brain. Organizational wizardry. As our Social Media Manager, you’ll be working to engage and delight our community of 800,000+ fans across multiple social media channels. Every day you’ll be putting yourself out there: brainstorming content ideas, working with our in-house creative team to execute plans, and managing the day-to-day across our existing channels. You’ll also leave plenty of room for exploring some new spaces. (Cough-TikTok-cough.) You’ll find ways to grow our community, inspire others to do good things, and turn followers into fans (maybe even friends). You’ll track engagement levels and general brand sentiment, and bring every insight back to the team. Sound good? Great.

  • Have 2+ years experience in social media management, brand marketing or similar
  • Can combine creativity, practical nous and marketing prowess to turn ideas into actions and question marks into opportunities
  • Have the ability to speak up for what you believe is the best course of action, the open-mindedness to take suggestions from the group, and the communication skills to bring people together towards a shared goal
  • Love trying new things, are prepared to learn through exploration, and get the biggest kick from seeing how things worked
  • Arrive to every occasion with a plan B, because you know that when it comes to social media, being able to adapt, respond and pivot on a plan is the nature of the beast
  • Have experience (or, at least, interest) in content creation – ie shooting reels on your phone or creating an interactive quiz for Stories
  • Are a natural-born leader of people, pre-programmed with the organizational skills to juggle many things at once and the passion to bring others along with you
  • Have a keen eye for design and zero tolerance for grammatical faux pas


  • Brainstormed ideas with our social team, and built out a weekly plan for posting across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and beyond
  • Worked with our Campaign Planning team to recommend ways specific social platforms can be used to amplify an upcoming campaign
  • Updated business as usual processes so that they are easier to manage, schedule, or automate
  • Worked with our Customer Support Team to dive into our DMs and comments, to keep an eye on what our fans are saying, and maybe sending a few emojis in return
  • Spent an hour working with the photo and video team on a fun new reel
  • Pitched Bellroy’s entry into TikTok land to some key stakeholders
  • Checked that we have all the imagery and copy for the week’s posts, scheduled anything that can be scheduled, and set yourself reminders to post the rest


This is a full-time role based in our Collingwood (Melbourne) head office, with flexible work arrangements available.

Our beach HQ sits behind giant sandstone cliffs that overlook one of Australia’s best-known surfing coastlines. It’s where our Product Designers experiment in the Maker Lab, and our Sales team consume awesome amounts of espresso and Skype bandwidth. Things are more tranquil here than our Fitzroy neighbours and we like the focus that can create. There’s a cafe right next door if you need a quick bite and our 11am surf check always provides the perfect chance to reset the mind with some salt air.


Our Fitzroy space is immersed in the middle of Melbourne’s creative hub. It’s where our Creative, Marketing, Engineering and Operations teams develop campaigns and ensure each Bellroy is sent safely across the world. Walk out the door and you’ll find streets bursting with energy (and the best ramen joint this side of Tokyo). There’s also an olympic-size pool just around the corner for those in need of a lunchtime refresh.


Outside of our two main headquarters we have a team that works remotely - from Western Australia to parts of Asia, the USA and Europe. Being global is at the heart of Bellroy, it keeps us connected, and makes sure we see life from many different perspectives.
