Supply planner / Analyst

Bellroy is growing (more than 30% year-on-year) and you will be joining our Operations team at an exciting time as we are redesigning and optimising our Supply Planning function, getting us ready for even faster growth. Previous supply chain experience is not essential, what we’re really searching for is an analytical thinker who will maximise our inventory availability while minimising stock-holding and create supply plans to match supplier capacity.

You’ll be joining a team used to thinking carefully about possibilities, used to building models, then using them to directly improve processes. You might have a few years of inventory planning under your belt and find yourself limited by rigid processes and systems. Or, you might have worked in analytics roles, serving up data and insights to decision makers but wishing you could experience the tangible effects of your analysis. Either way, you’ll need to get a kick out of working with large datasets and be keen to use data to question, tweak and create processes to help drive us towards achieving our goals.

If you get excited by the idea of working in a fast-paced environment working alongside a team of smart people with good intentions who get shit done, you should probably read on…

  • Have 3-5 years experience working in a data rich environment, with some experience sourcing data from different systems and making sure it’s clean (or cleaning it if necessary)
  • Want to have a deep understanding of how things work and what is going on under the hood
  • Desire to work with data to draw practical insights from it and use it to improve our inventory health
  • Have a desire to work autonomously to build systems that work and update processes as improvements reveal themselves to you
  • Are hard working, meticulous and highly organised
  • You can plan with precision and great attention to detail noticing when we’re getting off-track and proactively putting corrective actions in place
  • Have been exposed to using tools such as Netsuite (ERP) and Looker (BI Tool)

  • Created Transfer Orders in NetSuite for the weekly replenishment of Amazon’s FBA warehouses
  • Reviewed the inventory levels of our 5 parent warehouses and created transfer orders to balance inventory relative to demand at each location
  • Worked with our Digital Sales team to allocate inventory to our Black Friday campaign
  • Noticed the oversized demand of a recently released product, requested updated projections from the sales team, updated the sales forecast and prepared an expedited purchase order
  • Noticed a manual process that could be delegated to your Virtual Assistant, created an SOP and freed up an hour of your time each week

Bellroy’s mission is to inspire better ways to carry; use business as a force for good; and help the world – and our crew – flourish. We do good by making great products that delight people in their everyday lives; by innovating ways to help our staff love their work and grow as people; and by donating a portion of our revenue to some of the world’s most effective charities. We have a beautiful office space in Fitzroy (and another smaller one in Bells Beach), and we are constantly looking for better ways to do… well, everything. Want to help us?

This role is a full-time role based in our Fitzroy office (or it will be, and it’s remote until we get back there).

Start Day: We're ready when you are!

Supply planner / Analyst

Our Spaces

'Bellroy' is a fusion of our two homes – Bells Beach and Fitzroy. Bells Beach brings a relaxed, outdoor vibe to balance Fitzroy's creative, urban style. The city and the sea; inspiration and adventure. Together they provide a perfect balance.

Bells Beach

Our beach HQ sits behind giant sandstone cliffs that overlook one of Australia’s best-known surfing coastlines. It’s where our Product Designers experiment in the Maker Lab, and our Sales team consume awesome amounts of espresso and Skype bandwidth. Things are more tranquil here than our Fitzroy neighbours and we like the focus that can create. There’s a cafe right next door if you need a quick bite and our 11am surf check always provides the perfect chance to reset the mind with some salt air.

Our Fitzroy space is immersed in the middle of Melbourne’s creative hub. It’s where our Creative, Marketing, Engineering and Operations teams develop campaigns and ensure each Bellroy is sent safely across the world. Walk out the door and you’ll find streets bursting with energy (and the best ramen joint this side of Tokyo). There’s also an olympic-size pool just around the corner for those in need of a lunchtime refresh.

Outside of our two main headquarters we have a team that works remotely - from Western Australia to parts of Asia, the USA and Europe. Being global is at the heart of Bellroy, it keeps us connected, and makes sure we see life from many different perspectives. If you have an internet connection and the flexibility to become part of a team you don’t see everyday, you might consider joining our growing global network.
